NATURAL HISTORY OF GREY PARROTS
Habitat : lowland forest, savannah
with trees, woodland and mangrove areas near coast; avoids human
settlement
Status : common; but timneh population endangered
in localities by trapping.
Natural Diet : seeds, nuts, fruits and berries,
prefers fruit of oil palm. Occasionally raids millet fields.
Breeding : occurs between July and April depending on
location, in deep hollows in trees high above the ground.
Clutch : 2 to 4 white eggs (usually three).
