Avoid sudden changes. African Greys are creatures of habit
and are very sensitive to change. It is not unusual for our
breeding birds to go on hunger strike for two or three days
simply because they have dislodged one of their perches, moving
the cage to a new location or even putting on the central
heating at the start of winter can have a similar effect.
Avocado Pears are allegedly poisonous to parrots and should
be avoided, whilst fresh peanuts are safe stale ones contain
potentially deadly toxins.
Cooking utensils that are coated in Teflon give off a toxic
vapour that will have a catastrophic effect on your parrot.
