As the egg nears the end of its incubation period the chick moves its head into the air cell at the top of the egg.

There is no longer a need to turn the egg so it is moved to a Hatcher.

Humidity within the Hatcher is very high, this allows the chick to rotate freely whilst it breaks out of the egg.
